Allied Universal seeks 400 event security staff for LA's February game
Allied Universal is hiring 400 part-time event security staff for the February 14, 2027 championship game in Los Angeles, at up to $24 an hour.

Allied Universal is hiring 400 event security staff for the February 14, 2027 championship football game in Los Angeles, the company announced on October 30. The part-time jobs pay up to $24 an hour, and candidates can sign up for virtual interviews on November 2 and 3.
Key points#
- Allied Universal is filling 400 part-time event security positions for events around the February 14, 2027 game, the company said.
- Pay is up to $24 an hour, paid weekly, with flexible schedules, according to the release.
- A California security license is required, and the company offers guard card sponsorships to select qualified candidates for a limited time, the release said.
- The release does not name the game, and NFL owners picked Los Angeles to host Super Bowl LXI in 2027, ABC7 reported.
What the jobs involve#
The positions support events around the game, including VIP experiences, hospitality functions, special events and post-event celebrations, Allied Universal said. Those hired will help prepare and run the events, screen guests and bags, verify tickets and credentials, and manage venue access.
The release also lists crowd control, enforcing venue policies, and giving directions and customer service. No experience is necessary, veterans are encouraged to apply, and the company points to possible career paths into management.
Who can apply#
Candidates must be 18 or older, hold a California security license, have a high school diploma or the equivalent, pass a background investigation and have a valid driver's license, the release said. For a limited time, select qualified candidates can have their guard card sponsored by the company.
The interviews are virtual, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Pacific time on November 2 and November 3, with sign-up through an online link, according to the release.
The company and the game#
Allied Universal describes itself as North America's leading security and facility services company. Its global chairman and CEO, Steve Jones, said some people return every year to its event security team, and others have turned the weekend job into a lifelong career, the release said.
NFL owners voted unanimously in December 2023 to award Super Bowl LXI in 2027 to Los Angeles, at SoFi Stadium, ABC7 reported. The Allied release refers only to a championship football game and does not name the venues of the events it is staffing.
What it means for your company#
- Expect competition for licensed officers. A large hiring push for one event can draw part-time officers from smaller companies in the same area.
- Recruit for big events early. Licensing takes time, and helping good candidates get licensed widens the pool you can hire from.
- Write event post orders ahead of time. Bag screening, credential checks and access control each need clear, site-specific steps.
- Plan event shifts and relief in advance. Part-time event officers need to know their shifts, their check-in point and who relieves them.
- Check the rules where you work. Licensing and pay rules for event staff differ by state and city, so confirm them with your state licensing agency or an attorney.
In Guardix, managers can post open shifts, officers claim them in the app, and a manager approves or declines each claim.
