What is Guardix Kiosk Mode?
A self-service check-in screen for a post site. It runs on a tablet in the Guardix app and handles visitor check-in, vendor registration, delivery logs and officer clock-in, filing each entry to a Guardix report.
Which tablets does it run on?
iPad and Android tablets running the Guardix app. Register the tablet under Kiosk › Devices, then pair it with a code or the site’s kiosk login.
Can a kiosk account see officer or payroll data?
No. Kiosk accounts use the KIOSK MODE role, which can only run one post site’s kiosk screens. It cannot open web admin, the officer app, reports, payroll or other sites.
Can each post site have different buttons?
Yes. Every site has its own kiosk setup: layout, theme color, welcome message, actions and which Guardix report each action files to.
How does officer clock-in at the kiosk work?
The officer takes a selfie and confirms the uniform at the post tablet. The clock-in record shows the photo, time and site, and managers look at the selfie there. Guardix does not match faces or check uniforms automatically.
Which languages are supported?
Visitors can switch between English and Spanish on the kiosk home screen.
